It seems like every product release comes with a video around here - which is a great idea I think until you are the one who has to produce them! Ha! So we have this pretty ace preview widget called Blurb Bookshow. Ir allows you to embed a preview of your book on the website or blog. Sweet. But now it needs a video to explain it. We have only a short script and so much to say. It has to sounds easy to avoid intimidating people. So how does the video script that flight?
1) Half a page of word doc. List out the 3 key benefits and salient set up points.
2) Construct a light hearted script that sounds like something you'd say and not just write.
3) Break out each paragraph and note the direction in the app for the videographer
4) Find the screen shots you would like to use as a direction on what to film
5) Allow enough budget for a reviews and editing
Did I already mention being very clear about budget upfront?
